Many Roots & Shoots university groups are enthusiastic about animal protection. They feel the plight of stray animals and are eager to do something for them. Once again, they want to make a difference in innovative ways.
Students have reported that many pets secretly kept in school dormitories are often not cared for during holidays, and after graduation many of them are abandoned by their irresponsible owners. This is the main reason for stray animals on campus. The students decided that instead of just helping or feeding these strays they want to solve the problem at its source: the attitude of their human owners. We will support them in this campus campaigns, where they find innovative ways to ensure students pledge not to keep pets in their dormitories. They will also actively reach out to the animal foster and adoption groups to help already strayed animals find good homes.
